The method was developed during the Summer of 2007, and a provisional patent application was filed in October 2007; a provisional application does nothing more than help establish the date of invention/filing.

In September 2008, a patent application was filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). This method would need to be patented in every country in which protection is desired, but the treaty provides for 1 entity to undertake an initial patent search.

The results of the international search encourage counsel regarding the propsects for obtaining patent protection.

An application for a U.S. patent was filed in early April 2010, and is now pending.

  • Anyone can now use this method anywhere in the world without having to obtain my permission. However, in the future, it might be necessary to obtain permission from me to use this method in the United States.

  • Putting aside patent legalities, I will be happy to assist any entity that is interested in using this method.
